From what I've read in magazines and on the internet, fibromyalgia is still a mystery illness. The theory that it stems from the brain's over-sensitivity to pain signals, is probably the most reasonable theory thus far.

The fibromyalgia pain and emotional symptoms are bad enough, but adding fatigue to it, makes it all the more intolerable. I think that eating a well-balanced diet and taking supplements of vitamins and minerals can only improve your condition.

If you can strengthen your immune system enough, you may begin to feel better. The best to all those who suffer from fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome.

I have a neighbor who suffers from fibromyalgia. She is tired all the time and has tender places in certain locations on her body. She also experiences mental fog, anxiety and depression from time to time.

She has tried various medications, exercise and putting ice on the sore spots, but these only bring temporary relief. I told her that she ought to try taking more vitamins. Our food doesn't seem to have enough good vitamins in it, so it might be a good idea for her to increase her vitamin dosages, after talking to her doctor.

Studies have shown that women with fibromyalgia have a deficiency of vitamin A in their systems. There have also been studies on women who had a rich diet of vitamin E. They ate lots of vegetables, grains, nuts, seeds, and fruits. Their physical function and their emotional well-being improved.

Vitamin D is another powerful vitamin that appears to help fibromyalgia. Vitamin D helps patients with the symptoms of pain, insomnia, anxiety, brain fog, and depression. If you take calcium and vitamin D together, the calcium will help your nervous system and your muscles to relax.
