Your State’s Favorite Bob’s Burgers Character

With 12 seasons and a movie, it’s safe to say that people love Bob’s Burgers. How could you not? With personalities like Linda, Teddy, and Louise, it’s hard not to be a fan of the show and the characters that keep us coming back episode after episode.

To celebrate these characters, the Health Board crunched the numbers to see which character is every state’s favorite. Check out the map below to see which Bob’s Burgers character your state loves most!

Map Findings

• Teddy is the most popular character in the nation and is the favorite in 13 states
• Gene, Louise, and Bob Belcher tied as the least favorite, being the favorite in only one state each. It’s just because no one understands them.
• The entire Belcher family characters are the favorites in only 10 states combined—the other 41 states favor side characters

Fun Facts About Bob’s Burgers

• The name of the building next door to Bob’s Burgers changes in every single episode
• The show was originally going to be about a family of cannibals, but was changed as the cannibal idea was thought to be too dark
• Note that the first episode is titled “Human Flesh” and is a nod to the original idea for the show
• Louise is the only one in the Belcher family that a woman voices—Linda and Tina are both voiced by men

Methodology

We looked at Google search trends over the last year for ten popular Bob’s Burgers characters and compared their relative search volume for each state. For any states that had a tie between two or more characters, we took the character with the highest search volume, according to Ahrefs.
